Is there a minimum order value?
Typically our minimum order value is £100 excluding delivery however we are happy to provide a quote for any enquiry. No VAT.
Where are you based?
In Gloucestershire - we are around 30 minutes from Cheltenham, Cirencester and Stroud. Our sister company is located in the South Hams, Devon. Please visit www.devonbalesandeventhire.co.uk for more information.
We are able to deliver and collect any day of the week. Our standard hire period is 3 days including the day of delivery and collection however we can be flexible.
How do I book?
Upon accepting a quote a 20% non-refundable deposit will be requested to reserve the equipment. The balance should be paid by the delivery date unless arranged beforehand.
Are the bales fire retardant?
Unfortunately not, they are a natural product.
Delivery and Collection service?
Our delivery and collection service is not included in the hire price on this website. The price is calculated depending on the distance from our base. This is calculated on a door to door service and as stated below an extra charge will be incurred if items need to be carried over a distance. We will provide you with a delivery and collection time however this is for guidance only. We will aim to be as close to your preferred time however factors out of our control such as traffic and weather can cause delays. If we are going to be considerably delayed, we will give you a call to advise on the situation.
What happens upon delivery?
We have different options available. As standard we will drop off your items at the delivery location (less than 10m away from our delivery vehicle) and they would need to be returned there for collection. However, if you require the items to be carried a distance this would be an extra cost and would need to be arranged before delivery. We can also offer you a full set up at an extra cost, again this should be arranged before delivery. Please let us know if you require items taking upstairs.
Can bales be used in the rain?
Unfortunately the bales will ruin in the rain. They can cope with a short shower but if left in heavy rain for 24 hours the bales will be ruined and a charge will be incurred unless agreed prior to delivery. The bales can be stacked and tarp used to cover them. Tarps are available to hire, please ask prior to delivery.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please note the 20% deposit is non-refundable in all scenarios
In the event of a cancellation the following charges apply:
- up to 7 days prior to hire - 0% charge
- between 7 and 3 days prior to hire - 25% charge
- within 3 days of hire date - 50% charge
Cancellations must be received via email, please do not leave a voice message.
Loss and Damage charges?
Loss of equipment will be charged according to the full replacement cost at the time or damage of event hire equipment will be charged at an additional 50% of the hire price. We understand that the odd bale can be broken when being moved around, however if a number of bales have been broken during your event an additional 50% of the hire price will be charged.
